BROWSER is a web design, branding and digital marketing agency based at Al Etihad Building, Office No.1008, near Deira City Center, Deira, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In this policy, "BROWSER", "we", "us" and "our" mean BROWSER, and "you" means anyone who visits browser.ae, contacts us or works with us.

We handle personal information in line with the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data and other laws that apply to us.

Information we collect

Information you give us

• Enquiries and quote requests: your name, email address, phone number, company name and the details of your project when you fill in a form on this website.
• Messages: what you send us by email, phone, WhatsApp or social media.
• Client work: contact and billing details, and the content, images, logins and other material you share with us so we can deliver a project.

Information collected automatically

When you visit browser.ae, our hosting provider records technical information such as your IP address, browser, device, the pages you visit and the time of your visit. This helps us keep the website secure and working properly.

Where enabled, analytics and advertising tools also collect information about how you use the website, as explained under "Cookies and similar technologies" below.

How we use your information

• To reply to your enquiry and prepare a quote.
• To plan, deliver and support the work you have asked us to do.
• To send invoices and keep business and accounting records.
• To understand how visitors use the website so we can improve it.
• To measure our advertising and show relevant ads to people who have visited the website.
• To protect the website against misuse and to meet our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

Our reasons for using it

We use personal information because you have asked us to (for example, by sending an enquiry), because we need it to carry out a contract with you, because we have a legitimate business interest in running and improving our services, because the law requires it, or because you have given your consent. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

• Essential cookies that the website needs to work and to protect forms from spam.
• Analytics cookies, such as Google Analytics, that tell us which pages are visited and how people find the website. This information is grouped and does not identify you by name.

Who we share information with

We only share personal information with organisations that help us run our business, and only as much as they need:

• Netlify, which hosts this website and receives the enquiry forms.
• Google Workspace, which we use for email.
• Zoho, which we use for invoicing.
• Google and Meta, for website analytics and advertising.
• WhatsApp, when you choose to message us there.
• Professional advisers such as accountants and lawyers, and government or regulatory authorities when the law requires it.

When a project needs it, we may also share project material with suppliers such as printers or domain registrars, and we tell you about this as part of the project.

International transfers

Some of these providers store information outside the UAE, for example in the United States or the European Union. We use well-established providers that protect personal information with appropriate security and contractual safeguards.

How long we keep information

• Enquiries that do not become a project are kept for up to two years, then deleted.
• Client and project records are kept for as long as we work together, and invoices and accounting records for as long as UAE tax and accounting rules require (usually at least five years).
• Website log and analytics data is kept for the periods set by the providers above.

How we protect information

We use secure, access-controlled accounts with two-step sign-in where available, encrypted connections (HTTPS) on this website, and we limit access to the people who need it. No system is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and act quickly if something goes wrong.

Your rights

Subject to the law, you can ask us to:

• tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
• correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
• delete your information;
• stop or limit how we use it, or object to it being used for marketing;
• transfer it to you or another organisation in a common format.

Websites we build for clients

When we design, build, host or manage a website for a client, that client decides how visitors’ information is collected and used, and their own privacy policy applies. We handle that information only on the client’s instructions.

Children

This website is intended for businesses and is not aimed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Links to other websites

This website links to other websites, including client websites and social media. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, so please read their policies.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
